The growth in goods carriers also points to healthy demand for mini trucks and pickups. These vehicles are widely used for local distribution, intra-city deliveries and last-mile transportation. Shriram Finance also reported higher demand for heavy-duty trucks and construction equipment, indicating continued activity across core commercial sectors.

FASTag and Fuel Trends

FASTag transaction volume declined 3.9% month on month to 337.38 million in September, while transaction value fell 1.2% to Rs 7,096.35 crore. However, compared with September 2025, transaction volume increased 1% and value rose 11%.
